The cover of this maths book is wrecking everyone's head
AS IF WE needed further confirmation that maths is evil and makes no sense whatsoever, the internet has only gone and discovered the most mind-melting algebra book ever.
On Thursday, Twitter user @riarklerise posted a photo of his algebra book and noticed something kind of trippy…
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
But how????

The initial tweet has been retweeted nearly 60,000 times in less than two days with people’s reaction going a little something like, “HANG ON, WHAT?”

So what’s going on here? Is this some sort of Inception?
The photo in the tweet was taken from an old thread on Reddit r/MildlyInteresting. Another Redditor discovered the original stock photo, which featured the five students holding plain, nondescript books.
So it looks like the people on the cover aren’t space travellers and that we have Photoshop to blame for this one.
Phew.
